For this projecti had to design a model using the mesh tools in autoCAD, i choose to do a boxing glove because i wanted the challenge of getting the curve of the glove.
I first began by drawing a ring from the mesh selection so i could then mould it to the shape of the wrist strap.
I then began setting up my workspace by using the viewports tool and the 2d skecth view so i see my model from all angels and easily shape it as needed.
I used the vertext filter so i would only be selecting vertexs and i then used the move tool to strech the top half of the model.
After thining the middle to make more of an oval shape and extending the top half i then used the smooth edges tool to give the shape a softer look.
I then used the same method as before to set up my workspace and i added a mesh sphere to become the actual glove.
Using the move vertext method i began shaping again.
I continued to shape the model and it started coming together and look more like a glove but it still needed more work.
After finding a shape i was happy with i used the smooth edges tool to make the design look softer. Later i then used the move tool to make the glove a little thin as it looks too fat.
This is when i started re-modeling the design.
After all the re-modeling and re-shaping this is when i ended up with.
I then closed the viewports tab so i only had the single view left.
I then moved the glove onto the wrist wrap but the glove was far too big therefore i had to scale the glove so the two models fit together.
This is after the scaling process.
I then moved the glove back onto the wrist wrap. I then had to re-shape the wrist wrap in order for it to fit the glove properly.
I then made a small mesh cylinder that would go on to become the thumb of the glove. i used the same methods as before to change the view and re-shape the model.
I then moved the thumb to the glove to complete the model.
I then added the textures and materials to the design and it was fully complete.
