Music Poster Project

For this project i was tasked to make a poster using autoCAD. I choose to make a poster advertising a music fesival.

The fisrt step was to draw out a box that was the same size as an A3 page, which is what size the poster would be.

I then drew out the outline of the guitar which would be the center piece of the poster. I used the polyline tool and converted lines to arcs where aproprate. I had an image of a guitar i used to trace however i have removed it from these screenshots.

I then used the make process at before to add all of the details.

I then drew a microphone body and copied it to then rotate them to create the crossover. I then used the hatch tool to colour them blue. I also traced an image to create the original microphone, however i have remove it from the screenshots.

I then added some detail to the microphones.

I then used the same process and traced an image of a banner and hatched it. I also used the text tool to write text along an arc so the text looks as if it was on the banner. I later colour the text white as i felt black was a poor choice.

Using the same methods as before i drew and coloured the main stage.

I then place a rectangle on the actual stage and used the hatch tool to solid fill and then i reduced the opacity to give the effect of lights.

I then added a background. i used a circle and trim tool to create the sun in the top corner. and i also drew multiple circles together and trimed them to make the cloud shapes. i used the hatch tool to fill the clouds and i selcted the gradient option to make them stand out more.

I then used the polyline tool and converted some lines to arcs to create the dome ontop of the microphones. And then i proceded to used the hatch tool to colour them grey and i used a crosshatching pattern to make them look more like micrphones.

I then filled the guitar with colour to bring it to life. I also changed the size of it and moved it to fit a better position.

In these next steps i proceded to colour the guitar and add more details.

And this is the finished product.
