Water Bottle project
For this project i was tasked with making a product and then using a material wrap on that design.
I fisrt started by making 2 circles and 14 sided polygon as seen.
I then used the extrude tool on all the shapes.
I then used the fillet tool on the 14 sided shap to create small ridges at the bottom of the bottle.
I then used the substract tool to remove one of the circles from the same so the bottle has smoother ridges.
I then created another circle on top of the shape, extruded and filleted its edges.
i then moved the last shape i made in top of the main design and then i created anoth corcle and only extruded it a little bit.
I then used the filet tool to smooth the edges on top.
I then created a circle on the bottom of the bottle, extruded upwards and then used the substract command to create a divot.
I then cleaned up the edges by using the fillet tool.
I then used the shell tool in order to create a hollow shape.
Seperatly i then made a circle then extruded and filleted the edges.
Similar to last time i create a smaller cirlce and extruded it upwards. i did the same for the bottom of the shape.
I then used the shell tool but this time i made it go all the way through the shape.
I then used the move tool to reposition the last drawn shape as seen.
I then copied the last shape to make the bottle taller and have more ridges.
I then drew a circle with a 14 sided shape inside of it.
I then used the trim tool to remove all unwanted lines.
I then copied and rotated the sharp edge and moved it inwards as seen.
I then used the polar array tool to copy the shape inside the circle.
I then used the offset tool as seen.
I then raised a circle drawn inside of the shape and i also raised the offset shape as seen.
I then used the loft tool to create the new shape which will go on to be the top of the bottle.
In the last step i didnt loft the circle orginaly drawn, so i used the extrude tool to raise it a little as seen.
I then fileted the newest extrusion.
Like my other shapes in this drawing i added a circle below and extruded it to make another ridge when joined to the rest of the bottle as seen.
I then used the shell tool to make my shape hollow.
I then moved the top of the bottle into position.
I then created a verticle line the length of the bottle cap and i created two equal circles either end with a larger circle in the center.
I then extruded each part a little bit.
this is the top after the extrusion.
along the edge of the cap i created a helix that would later be used as a path.
I then drew a small circle and used the sweep tool to take the circle along the helix i had just drawn.
I then used the shell tool on the top of the bottle.
I then positioned the top of the bottle onto the other peices.
Thats the bottle complete.
I then wrapped a generic water bottle logo around the middle of the bottle.
I then changed the material to a transparent plastic for the rest of the bottle.
I also played with the rendering and lighting to make create this.
